Ah, thanks for the information! I think the best time to file a sync request is after the Debian-Import-Freeze. Merges with Debian are done automatically, so it makes no sense to ask for a manual merge before the freeze. (see merges.ubuntu.com for pending merges) But it might take some time until a package is merged. To your second question: This is a little bit weird. AFAIK the index is updated continuously by a script... But it seems that a lot of new packages in the repos do not have an entry yet. (To be specific: _all_ new packages I tried did not have one) I'll ask in IRC why this happened. (Maybe the index is just updated short before a new Ubuntu version is released...) Anyway: If the package is listed at Launchpad, it's in the repos. (And this is important!)
