The existing files are displayed with extreme delay. Furthermore, if a file is saved to a directory the file will not be shown as existing if the file is saved to the same directory again (although the file physically exists.) The problem does not occur if the Openoffice dialogues are used. Openoffice is the only program showing such behaviour, so it is unlikely (but not impossible) that this effect is caused by KDE. I had the same problem with OpenOffice 3.1.1. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save a file to a directory 2. Save the file using "save as" to the same directory again 3. Actual Results: OpenOffice sometime displays the entries with delay and does not show all entries. Expected Results: All other programs and OpenOffice as well (if the OpenOffice dialogs are used) show all existing files of the chosen directory without delay. Any idea what may be causing this performance issue with KDE4 dialog? Is it with KDE itself or in OOo?
