disclaimer: I'm scim Debian maintainer and part of the upstream team I agree there may be room for improvement of the current icon. But I'm not sure that http://is.gd/hpZy is really an improvement
1) I believe I've seen a very similar icon for a keyboard configuration tool or some other app -> potential for confusion 2) รก is not a good representation of what scim does.
