I have the same problem. I have a script, -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1832
2010-09-01 04:52 /etc/pm/sleep.d/15_saving
which is symlinked from lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 2010-09-01 04:20
/etc/pm/power.d/15_saving -> /etc/pm/sleep.d/15_saving

I can (sudo) run the script myself, and see that its changes take place.

But running sudo pm-powersave, with either true or false, doesn't run
the script, nor does plugging/unplugging the physical power cable.
