Same problem here with a Sansa Fuze 8GB. gnomad2 gives me after 2 or 3 minutes:
Device 0 (VID=0781 and PID=74c0) is a SanDisk Sansa Fuze. PTP_ERROR_IO: Trying again after re-initializing USB interface Queried Sansa Fuze 8GB Segmentation fault Next I tried it with libmtp from Maverick but no change. Only reverting to libmtp from Karmic solved my problem.
