This regression happened between commits a8cbb156 and dc9de806 mesa master. That is from one xorg-edgers daily checkout (20090901) to the next (20090902) and the best I can do to pinpoint it. I have discovered another visual phenomenon that seems to coincide with the non-showing buttons. In blenders outliner window some icons are offset by one. See http://launchpadlibrarian.net/31478830/outliner_correct.ogv for the correct behaviour and http://launchpadlibrarian.net/31478848/outliner_offsetbug.ogv for the wrong behaviour. I can however not pinpoint when this other phenomenon showed up with the same precision. They might not be the same bug. I filed this bug first on launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/423624 There is a lot of logs attached there. I do not know if any of those might be useful. Just not all the way yet. :-) I have also seen bug#23706 in the past, although only on the external monitor, not on the internal. I can confirm that that bug has been fixed recently. This bug here is a different bug. I usually run the latest ubuntu karmic with xorg-edgers ppa, which checks out mesa master daily. Just now I checked with: mesa (7.7.0~git20090914.d3f5a2e5-0ubuntu0tormod) karmic; urgency=low * Checkout from git 20090914 (master branch) up to commit d3f5a2e5ab413ec0dab1efa8135705e5312d361d the bug is still there. Thanks. The bug is fixed. Works with xorg-edgers mesa checkout from git 20090923 (master branch) up to commit 20e77382935b24e9e2be89cd2b686fa2f1f67635.
