The thing that freaks me out, is if a normal user logs in to the desktop
first, and the administrator later(read me), he is not able to use nm-
applet. How irritating isn't that?

Sure, you can use "sudo killall nm-applet && nm-applet &", but taking
over the control should be an option on the indication bar.
