I was using my Trust Tablet 4200 in Ubuntu 10.04 and everything was fine (I didn't have the left/right button capability but it was fine with pressure and sensitivity) but when I installed the 10.10 version I lost the "hovering thing" as you described early. I still have pressure but when I take my pen from the Tablet I loose track and when I touch the Table again there's a jump from one point to another and it is marked with an annoying line...
