This bug was fixed as per the patch submitted. As suggested by Martin, if the change did not fix the bug satisfactorily, I'd suggest discussing this either on the upstream bug or on the Ubuntu Russian translators mailing list, and when consensus has been reached then come back here to propose an alternative solution if necessary.
