I had this problem on the NB30 with win XP and Mint. It also hosed the splash screen making recovery and bios access impossible. Eventually all i got was avlack screen and a flashing cursor with no HD activity. This bug is only coming to light now as the circulation of this machine is starting to expand. Any help gratefully received.
