Just tried installing cdrdao 1.2.3 from source, but that didn't fix the brasero issue for me, although I am now able to use cdrdao to copy audio CDs from the command line.
Bit confused because others have reported this fix working - did you have to do anything else other than the default configure,make,install procedure?
