You have been subscribed to a public bug: Since Maverick the metapackage kde-devel is missing, and it seems to have been dropped only because Debian stopped to provide it. This metapackage is extremly helpful to get a basic KDE development environment in Kubuntu and I truly miss that.
Many KDE developers using Kubuntu rely on this package, removing it makes Kubuntu a bit harder to use as a distribution, as one has to dive into http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/KDE4/Prerequisites and looses quite some time with that setup. Sorry if I submitted this report to the wrong product but it was already hard to find this one, feel free to reassign if necessary. ** Affects: null Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: meta-kde (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kde-devel metapackage is missing in Maverick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677845 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Registry Administrators, which is the registrant for NULL Project. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~registry Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~registry More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
