There is a bug related to this problem : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/196757 : camera automount prevents import and a I filed a question about this issue in Askubuntu : http://askubuntu.com/questions/3996/how-to-mount-a-digital-camera-for-the-right-applications.
