The School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED), in the Faculty of 
Environment, University of Waterloo, invites applications for a tenure-track 
position at the Assistant Professor level in economic development.  Candidates 
for Assistant Professor should have a completed or nearly completed PhD, and 
should demonstrate the potential for high-quality research and teaching. 
Individuals with degrees in business, economics, economic geography, planning, 
entrepreneurship or public policy are encouraged to apply.  Preferred 
candidates will have research expertise and / or teaching experience in one or 
more of the following areas: sustainable community development, local economic 
development, business development, innovation, entrepreneurship, green economy. 
The position will support teaching and research activities in SEED’s 
environment and business, local economic development, international 
development, and sustainability management programs.
