Lotta different ways to go. Middle East adventure, Crusades, straight westerns, humorous westerns, detective, boxing, horror, character-specific, Lovecraftian, pirate, poetry. Might want start out over at Joe Marek's excellent site, http://www.angelfire.com/tx3/robertehoward/, let you get a feel for what and how much of each is out there. Then you can head over to check out HowardWorks, at http://howardworks.iwarp.com/, see the big lists of all the books, see which ones have what you want to read. You won't be able to find much REH in the bookstores, even the used ones. You can though get most of the basic paperbacks, of which there must be 50 or so, via eBay or online book buying like www.bookfinder.com, most all for relatively cheap prices. If you want to upgrade, lots of hardbacks out there, Grant, FAX, Wildside Press, Wandering Star. Just depends on your tastes. You need an opinion, just ask, Lord knows we got lots of those. In reality, most of the REH fans are over at innercircle, another Yahoo group. Almost no chats over here at REHfans. You might want to jump in over there. Paul Herman

I joined this list a few days ago. I have been interested in reading Howard for a long time. Indeed, some ten years ago or so I read a paperback compilation entitled _King Kull_ which I can no longer find anywhere on my shelf. Ah well. So, I live in the States, but it so happened that I was in England about a month ago. While there, I picked up the Gollancz two volumes of _The Conan Chronicles_ (not on whim, but preplanned). And quite enjoyed them. So, what's next? I am thinking of getting the Baen _Kull_ and _Bran Mak Morn_. Any suggestions? Any better choices? I look forward to some good discussion.
