Untested on 2.4.10, or the redhat 2.4.10.  Since you have to rebuild
anyway, I'd suggest 2.4.12-ac or a 2.4.13.  The README file talks about
which patches are needed on the -ac kernels.

I haven't tried yet on -ac here, but I expect it to work.
