Hi,

  This is slightly cosmetic, but easy to fix...

blocks on device 10241432
2171432 blocks marked used in on disk bitmap
Pass 0 - 0%                                                      left 2171431,
...20%...40%...                                     left 972684, 4191 /sec

  While running reiserfsck --rebuild-tree on a largish and relatively fast
disk under an xterm-variant and X, it makes the host computer use pretty
much of CPU time by updating the progress line very often. This would also
be a problem on a slow serial console or dial-up connection (there are a
few times i've created large vxfs filesystems over a 9600 bit/s serial
console on an otherwise new and fast server).

  Could you please

  1) make a -q option to make the utils quiet (to disable the very
     often-updated status displays)
  2) make the status displays update less often (say, once per second, or
     once every 100 or 1000 items - just a one-liner, if (items % 100 == 0)
     then print the status line...

  Thank you.

  - Hessu
