I am attempting to ship a product using the reiser file system and an ATAPI HDD and are having issues that appear to be data corruption I am hoping that someone on the list has some experiencing interpreting the error messages being displayed by "reiserfsck"
The error message is: " (of 36) / 38 (of 168) bad leaf: block 9395 has invalid item 10 15 1429 0x01 DIR (3), len 736 location 2244 entry count 14, fsck need 0, format old" This error occurs several times after performing a reiserfsck on hda8 each message has a different set of numbers. Can any one interpret what the message is saying? Is there a problem on the HDD that could be called "file system corruption"? What is the long term effect of the HDD error? Regards, Jeffrey D.
