B2W di Jakarta itu Nekat apa Edan??
by momi
Banyak orang yg skeptis dengan kegiatan Bike to Work mereka mengatkan

Tapi kalo soal sapa2 aja yg jadi korbanya ya bukan yg pake sepeda aja,
yg dinaikin ngeluarin polusi lagi mana mereka kena macet lagi udah
deh ngisep pulusinya pol dobelnya.

Terus jangan disangka mubil yg pake AC pun ga bebas keracunan pulusi
knalpotnya kejebag didalem pas macet2 dibelakang bus, lagi pula pulusi
yg masuk mubil kejebak sampe abis diasedot mereka ga sadar karena
mubilnya di pakein pewangi udara ... kekekek
Sedang udara seger juga masuknya ga banyak kecuali mubilnya dipasangin
alat pembersih udara didalemnya

alternatif yg polusinya sedikitan misal ambil jalur cepet yg relatif

Kalo soal bahaya, sapa yg mau ya kan?? Wong pak polisi ngatur lalin

duduk2 kan terus pulangnya cuma duduk dimubil atawa desek2 an di bus

Differences in cyclists and car drivers exposure to air pollution
from traffic in the city of Copenhagen.

Social Studies, Denmark. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It has frequently been claimed that cycling in heavy traffic is
unhealthy, more so than driving a car. To test this hypothesis, teams
of two cyclists and two car drivers in two cars were equipped with
personal air samplers while driving for 4 h on 2 different days in the
morning traffic of Copenhagen. The air sample charcoal tubes were
analysed for their benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX)
content and the air filters for particles (total dust). The
concentrations of particles and BTEX in the cabin of the cars were 2-4
times greater than in the cyclists' breathing zone, the greatest
difference being for BTEX. Therefore, even after taking the increased
respiration rate of cyclists into consideration, car drivers seem to
be more exposed to airborne pollution than cyclists.

Cycling and Health: Did You Know...?
http://www.cyclingengland.co.uk/health3.php
    * Cyclists can expect to live for at least two years longer on
average than non cyclists. 1
    * Occasional and regular cyclists enjoy a level of fitness
equivalent to being between five and ten years younger. 2
    * Cycling as part of normal daily activities can yield much the
same improvements in physical performance as specific training
programmes.3
    * In 2003 there were around 40,000 deaths per year due to physical
inactivity and 113 deaths due to cycling.4
    * Studies between countries show that the higher the rate of
cycling the lower cyclists' death and injury rate.5
    * The Health Select Committee said that meeting the Government's
cycling target would do more to tackle childhood obesity than any
other measure.6
    * ...BUT only one in three Primary Care Trusts have someone with
responsibility for cycling.7
