Follow-up Comment #3, bug #8953 (project relax):
The bug does not occur in versions 1.2.8 or 1.2.9. I have modified the code
of these version to run under Python 2.5 and the bug does not occur.
Therefore it was a regression introduced between 1.2.9 and 1.2.10.
