There are two patches attached, and the last one has the status "needs-rework", so not sure which one(s) you refer to. As per https://live.gnome.org/ReleasePlanning/Freezes , "translation and documentation should continue" during hardcode freeze, so I'd say getting this in does not require any r-t approval. However, huge documentation changes or additions could introduce new bugs in the build process, so good testing is highly welcome.
