Hi all,
Rico noticed an API break yesterday and I am asking for permission to
fix and release this ASAP.

Importantly, there are 2 patches in that bug, the first is the most
important, the second is required to make sure the Vala bindings are up
to date.
This must be some sort of record, 3 requests to break hard code freeze
in such a short time :/
