One thing that bothered me is that some of those "4.0.0" apps are, partly also
indicated by their internal version number, development versions while others 
seem to be considered stable by their maintainers. And you could only know or
guess by looking at the websites/internal versions numbers/techbase apps page
their state and decide which of them to package/put into a stable repository.

Maybe this is a special 4.0 release problem and future extragear releases will
contain only stable versions (even if there is newer devel version available)?
