Gentoo case: Assuming nothing else is broken, the workload for the packagers of bumping every package from 4.9.1 to 4.9.2 is near zero. (Running a script over a git tree.) The main disadvantage is that all users will have to re- download all sources. But then, we're as a source based distro maybe a special case. -- Andreas K.
