It was along trip for me to and from Dakar Moving from Dakar to Douala, Bamako to Nairobi and then Entebbe but God was on my side i managed to reach home safely. On the Task i was given to make sure that a new branch of REMASTP is opened in Uganda i have tried to talk to the President of Uganda Journalist Association of which i am a committee member and he had this to say. He suggested that REMASTP be under the Health committee of Uganda Journalist Association (UJA). He was giving the arguement that mid last month a group of Journalists in the name of Health Reporters Association from Uganda was given unknown amount of money by the Malaria Consortium and they organised a workshop in one of the hotels in Kampala and the person who was charged with finance decided to disappear with out giving a single penny to the rest of the members for their allowances. The President of UJA was worried that if another organisation comes in and behaves in a similar manner that will be shame and thats why he wants REMASTP to be under the health committee of UJA but i a m also working hard trying to convice him that this a different organisation with Branches in West and Central African Countries.
