The original correspondent is in the UK (judging by his email
address), won't need to convert to UTC. For half the year our local
clock is close enough to UTC (give or take some leap seconds). In
Spring we move to one hour East of GMT/UTC.

You may need to convert to UTC, but we won't until we're discussing
the Summer solstice.
