[Render] Xft2, can I turn of hinting?

Is there a way to turn of hinting? from 'fonts.conf' or something?

To get symbolic fonts like 'Wingdings" to work properly with libXft1 I had to 
add the line:
match any family == "wingdings" edit   encoding += "glyphs-fontspecific";
to XftConfig. Can I achieve this with fontconfig and the 'fonts.conf' file? So 
that my symbolic fonts work ok with libXft2.
