*Approx Duration:** 3 months* * * *Primary Job Responsibilities:* As Sr. Software QA engineer for the PayPal division of Merchant Services, you will provide technical guidance in the analysis, design and execution of testing PayPal's Payment Features. In concert with Management, you will provide necessary definition, development and deployment of the product Quality Assurance strategy, addressing all phases of the PDLC Process. As part of a Merchant Services team you will take initiatives and be proactive about the getting the assignments completed in areas of test planning, test execution and automation. You will learn and use in-house solutions for bug filing and tracking and keep the management informed of risks and issues. You will work with SQA team through all phases of PDLC, facilitating the balance between an appropriate level of engineering process rigor and the imperative of time-to-market. You will ensure delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e., meeting commitments and coordinating overall SQA schedule integrity. You will work with the program team and management to establish the commitment and dedication of resources. You will anticipate program release problems and take corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments. * * *Job Requirements:* Lead Software Quality Assurance projects and consult with management, staff and customer throughout the project life cycle. • Develop metrics for assessing the quality of delivered project, analyzes trends, researches anomalies and summarizes findings. • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and a strong technical person, who persistently follows-through on projects; • 3+ years of working knowledge of Web Applications, Service Oriented Architecture/Web Services, and Client/Server technology testing. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Strong experience in testing with mobile and handheld devices • Proven ability to build relationships and motive cross-functional teams. • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical degree is required. • Expert level of understanding of QA tools. • Ability to lead large size projects of high risk spanning across functional teams. • Substantially participates in PRD and ERD reviews and raises questions and concerns at the program level as related to interactions with existing functionality or upcoming new functionality. • Acts as a technical resource for PM/PD/PjM/QA when testing expertise or scoping is requested across domains. • Rapidly masters and utilizes leading-edge technologies to innovate creative solutions that did not exist before, and solve challenging problems. • The ideal candidate will be an active PayPal and/or eBay user who is familiar with the product. • Experience in working with remote teams is a plus.
