*Day-to-Day responsibilities of the position: *Development; Troubleshooting;
Technical Analysis; Delivery of Solutions
At this level the successful candidate will be responsible for technical
analysis of recommended solution; fully aware of impact of proposed
technical solution on the environment; able to apply strong technical
expertise to deliver high quality technical solutions and escalates issues
appropriately. This individual will also be responsible for
contributing/writing of technical scripts for testing, assembly of test
plans and technical documentation.
*List of hard skills required *
- IBM WebSphere Application Server/Portal Server and IBM Portlet API.

- Knowledge of IBM Web Content Management (WCM)
*Strong*
- Experience and skills to integrate applications (including legacy
applications) into Portal framework *Strong*
- J2EE technologies (JSP, Beans, JSF, Servlet)
*Strong*
- Building, deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining Portal
applications. *Strong*
- Java language and object oriented programming skills.

- Knowledge of IBM Personalization Engine
*Moderate*
- Database design and programming for SQL Server
*Moderate*
*List of desirable skills *
- Person must be able to design web GUI using page layouts, Themes,
menus using JavaScript. *Strong*
- Person must be able to analyze requirements and create design
documents and develop Portal application. *Strong*
- Create and Perform Unit testing.
*Strong*
- Strong understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life
Cycle and process methodologies using RUP - highly desired. *Strong*
- Understanding modeling concepts with UML or Microsoft Visio
*Moderate*
*Desired Educational or Professional Candidate background* : Sun's Java or
IBM WebSphere certification
