3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP/Basis
Administration across all areas of mySAP 4.6 or above additionally 5+
years experience with Unix, Mainframe, Linux or Windows operating
systems, DB2, Oracle, SQLServer database management system
administration, problem resolution and tuning are required. Bachelors
degree with Major Field of Study:Computer Science, Engineering, or
related degree is required. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding
of Data Center Operations and management principles. The SAP Basis
Senior Consultant (SC) is responsible for the installation,configuration
and maintenance of the Basis component of SAP systems and will assist in
the planning, designing and architecting of mySAP systems across a
variety of platforms (both IBM and non-IBM) and databases. Individuals
should be capable of working independently or in teams and have the
ability to effectively communicate with customers to gain insight and
develop solutions to meet their business needs. The SC installs support
packs, conducts upgrades, backups/recovery, system refresh and
troubleshooting as well as administers databases, conducts failover of
production systems, and monitors and ensures performance of SAP systems.
Prefer experience with iSeries servers. IBM is looking for in-depth
skills in the following areas: SAP Basis Administration; Operating
System Administration Technical Skills; Infrastructure Process &
Procedures Skills; Knowledge of/experience with formal delivery
methodologies; and Establishing and managing development standards.
Additionally, looking for knowledge in the following areas anticipating
that the candidate may need some assistance in: Requirements definition,
mapping, and gap analysis;Architecture/Solution design, prototyping,
development and deployment; Network Knowledge and Skills; Application
deployment planning and execution; Database Skills. As the majority of
our work is performed at client sites, 100% travel will be required and
candidates must live near major metropolitan airports.
These consultants will use their in-depth SAP Basis
consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise
to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients business
environment in order to achieve client expected business results.
Candidate Must Have :
* 3+ Years of SAP/Basis Administration across all areas
of my SAP 4.6 or above
* Additional 5+ years of experience with Unix,
Mainframe, Linux or Windows operating systems
* Must have also worked with DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
dbms systems resolving system administration problems
* Must have installed, configured and maintained the
Basis componet of SAP Systems
* Bachelor's degree
