Developer - Core Java & C++ with experience in ETL and Oracle Database
Location : Chicago IL
Duration: 6 months or longer.
Start: ASAP
Rate: 55/hr
· This role is to work developing products for real-time
market data access, in the full project life cycle.
· The candidate will have knowledge and expertise of
real-time data as well as the general data usage and dependencies for
data in sales, trading and settlement applications.
· The candidate will have knowledge and expertise of the
following technologies Java, C++/C, OOD, RDMS. Experience with
development of high-performance servers is a must.
· The candidate will have a proven track record of
developing real-time market data applications including architecture
definition, technical and functional design, process and workflow
definition, testing and implementation,
· The candidate will be expected to liaise with various IT
and business groups to provide ongoing product consulting to
facilitate adoption of the products/system, identify new business and
technical problems and associated business case and communicate
change implementation plans, progress, risks/issues, problems and
return on investment.
· Knowledge of Source Control Management (SCM) tools Is a
plus (ClearCase, Subversion)
· Extensive experience with Java and C/C++ programming
languages
· Experience with the following operating systems: XP, Unix,
Linux
· Database experience with Relational databases required
including programming with stored procedures, SQL and
representation/manipulation of XML
· Development in a client-server environment
· Messaging technologies, network protocols, socket
programming
· Scripting with shell/Perl
· Knowledge of technical/financial standards and protocols a
plus
· Knowledge of ClearCase/Subversion is a plus
· Knowledge of Informatica and Hibernate is a plus
Essential Education: B.S. Computer Science or Equivalent Desirable
Education: M.S Computer Science or equivalent desirable Mobility required:
Some short-term travel Additional Requirements: Experience in
exchange/vendor feed, real-time systems development. Investment banking,
Equities trading domain experience desirable but not essential.
