Establish firewall and router configuration standards . Install perimeter firewalls between any wireless networks and the cardholder data environment . DMZ Implementation . Experience in Security in wireless environment . Experience in server hardening process . Understanding of PCI standards . Understand encryption and cryptographic key management process . Deploy anti-virus software . Understand information security policy . Understand RBAC . Test user access management functionalities . Implement automated audit trails . Perform penetration testing using IDS/IPS The requirement is for compliance testing. The client has a set of compliance standards defined based on PCI and others and they want someone to validate whether their current environment is in accordance to these standards. The environment consists of network elements, security elements, servers etc. The need is not to be technical in all these areas, but someone who understands compliance standards like PCI etc and understand technology to validate if they are configured properly.
