I have a question for you GE 'experts.' Is the receiver front end
on the High Band Exec II the same as the Mastr II? How about the IF
chain? Comparing performance, is there a difference?

I wouldn't know, so far, I have been collecting the things for a
while ... later this winter, I hope to place a GE Exec II high band
model on a two meter repeater pair.

As some of you know, my main interest is 95% Motorola; RCA, GE and
a couple of other things follow that. Fired up a pair of RCA Series
700 table-top base stations yesterday - work just fine too.

The Mastr II's I recently bought for $5 each are brown handle which,
some say, are better than the non-brown handle types.

My collection of GE is currently way behind that of Motorola ...
manuals included. I have the rough equivalent of three GE Data-Files
here ... trying to merge them is becomming interesting ...

(I did unload an operational low band GE Progress Line a year or so
ago. I used to service those things back in the sixties. Also used
to service the GE Pre-Progress Line stuff too.)

  Enuf for now,

  Neil - WA6KLA
