I have a few questions. Does this occur with the transmitter on or off? With
the rec. ant disconnected? Can you hear it on another receiver? Using a
preamp? What kind of duplexer, antenna, feedline? High RF site? Sounds more
like an external noise problem, what test equipment do you have, service
monitor, wattmeter? If you send it a signal from a sig gen instead of the
antenna,does it still do it?
More info please...HEY,maybe a customer for the static-buster! Tis the
season, 73,Lee,N3APP

Subject: [Repeater-Builder] MSR-2000 Receiver acts like a barometer

: I am having a problem with my MSR-2000 VHF receiver going flaky
: whenever it is (1) wet out (2) pressure drops
:
: It has a "oscillating" noise on the receiver, and sensitivity goes to
: crap on the RX.
:
: Anyone else ever run into this?
:
: I have some spare receivers, I think I'll try replacing it first, and
: see if it fixes this.
:
: Could my xtals be the culprit??
