Hi Barry I have several Vxr-7000 repeaters in use in the UHF commercial band. I had to pull 2 of them down at sites with a lot of RF and replace them with Kenwood TKR-840 due to desense problems. The VXR-7000 is a good inexpensive repeater. It has everything included in it,is programmable and puts out about 40-50 watts and has built in circuit for battery back up which is nice. It has has performed well for me with no failures but I do not recommend it if a digital paging transmitter is close by since it is kind of wide on the front end.
