I ... hmmm ... I'll have to look. I did some research on that
specific issue some months back - but it is now on the computer
 in the garage.

Well, I did look ... and printed it out .......

  ( Now the fun begins ... )

Any Motrac model numbers ending in 'HHT' use crystal ovens to
maintain the FCC type acceptance - and are not covered below.

Since the current discussion is about Channel Elements, the
following is by Channel Elements and for the low band Motrac/Motran
 series radios:

*Number of channels refers to the number of specific different
crystal & oscillator circuits in the Channel Element - applies to
the early Channel Elements only. The later radios Channel Elements
were all only one channel each. If there is no specified number of
channels listed per line, it is to be assumed to be a 1 frequency
 Channel Element only.

Everything above is taken directly from a factory manual ... my
typos not with standing ... :(

Also, the file I have is about 1200 lines so far for listing by
 Channel Element number.

It does not include the listings by Base / Repeater / Mobile / other
station model numbers - which is another file.

I made the study last winter ... this winter I hope to complete the
project - I probably have another 5-600 manuals to get out, study and
enter the information. Will cover all radios that I can identify and
have manuals for - from 25 MHz thru 960 MHz ... and possibly above.

(I have 20 four drawer file cabinets with General Electric, Motorola,
 RCA and other manufacturers manuals.)

> receive.

The UHF Motrac Receiver in the LHT models use either the TLN1081A,B
 (0.0005%) or the TLN1086A (0.0002%)

The UHF Motrac Transmitter in both LHT and MHT both take the same
 Channel Elements be it the TLN1083A,B (0.0005%), TLN1087A (0.0002%)
or the two piece version (0.0005%).

The UHF Motran uses the 'S' exciter TLN1146A (0.0005%) or the
TLN1190A (0.0002%) or the two piece version (0.0005%)

The UHF Motrac MHT Series and UHF Motran MST Series receivers are
identical and use the same Channel Element Series ... both types ...
 the AFC and non-AFC types.

Further discussion may be here in the future - similar to the above
info for the low band radios ... but is far more extensive.

> But other than the transmitters & the UHF motran, all the motrac/motran
> receivers used the same elements.

True, for the most part - unless you have one of the very early
Motrans where there is a one or two oscillator Channel Element -
remember those? (Both low and high band.)

I hope the above information helps.
