Sounds like you have audio that is not de-emphasised IE taken direc\tly off the discriminator and used fpor data recovery. Solution is simple one resistor and a capacitor.
Look at the Micor pages or search anand you should fine the simple installing ideas. I assume you should only place it in the audio chain to the speaker and not interrupt the current audio to the decoder.
