Thanks for all responses on the antenna element.  Consensus shows to 
be a Hy-Gain from the late 60's.  Other tests reveal that it is a 150-
160 MHz element but has below 1.5:1 VSWR all the way down to 145 
MHz.  Tests done with a return loss bridge and IFR-1200 with tracking 
generator.  

Looks like since the impedance of these elements are 100 ohms, one 
could take even 1/2 wavelengths of coax (compensated with velocity 
factor) then run two of these into a "T" connector then have 50 ohms 
and make an antenna similar to a DB-222.
