I have the same experience. 75 ohm stuff works great. The transformers
don't seem to be necessary for ham projects on two meters and above.
Return loss takes care of most SWR. Dave

I can vouch for this,found no discernable difference on VHF between a
run of 7/8 Andrews and a run of jacketed CATV aluminum. Identical
performance,cheaper price and no matching stubs.73,Lee,N3APP
