Sorry Guys, I had meant for this response to go to
the group!
Hey Butch!
Here are a couple quick answers: > If you switch freqs then you will have to retune the duplexer or it will not > work. This is why I'm looking for a set up with duplexer, so I can have the new one on GMRS and use our current one for normal use. > What do you mean by High power? I knew this was an open one......our current rig is only 15watts....hoping for 50watts or so. > You are limited by the FCC to only low power for the GMRS freqs. > Usually 50 watts. Right! but "low" wattage by a lot of ppl's. standards is only 10-25watts. > If it is a regular business UHF repeater freqs, you need to tell us what > they are. > You also need to know if they have any tones. That is why I'm looking for a programmable unit....we can program/re-program as appropriate and add tones as required. Hope this clarifies a bit! Thanks for the response! Tim Yahoo! Groups Links
