Get onto an existing tower as a co-located user, you will be meeting a
lot of people to explain the volunteer support ham radio gives existing
emergency services when they are overloaded - cell phones don't go fast
enough - electrical outage in one area puts an end to communications
between the inside circle and outlying areas..... You will still have to
hire climbing crews at 3 or 4 hundred an hour to experiment with your
antenna array so choose carefully, sometimes you can find existing
antennas with feedlines and nothing inside the equipment room - take a
signal generator and sweep all the empty ones and mark them, then using
feild glasses try to see what goes where and don't pick an antenna next
to somethin that will obviously cause you interference.
