The GE Exec II makes a fine UHF repeater. I've done several. There is no "conversion" to the ham bands. You buy crystals and tune it up. You can't just generally tune the radio for the ham band -- you need to tune it for your specific frequency.

Subject: Re: [Repeater-Builder] Looking for GE Master Exe II

a ge mastr II would be a better radio to use for a repeater ...the exec is ok but i think it lacks good filtering....exec I has tubes in transmitter and the exec II is solid state

Hello Everyone and thanks for reading my post.. I am basically
looking for a GE Master Exe II so that I can make a repeater on the
ham band. I am looking for UHF...

I would prefer if its already converted to the ham band and all I
need to do is order crystals and setup a pair of duplexers and on-
the air..

I am looking for something cheap, not going over $60...

If you have one and want to get rid off, please email me..
