ah...the ubiquitous Motrac...what memories, the
surprise and pain of having one slip out of the
unlocked housing that you thought was locked and
landing all 40 pounds of it on ones great toe,
the housing pinching the fingers, ripping hair
out of your arm. what pleasant remembrances. if
you had a 4 channel UHF Motran back in them thar
days you were a radio jock around here at least.
and wide spaced mst's made you a deity. I still
have a range one 136-150 mhz. 40 watt Motrac
which will be back in service in my new van. In
my humble opinion they had and still have the
best audio I have ever experienced in a mobile.
transmit or receive. when we get the new site
c(www.mdmradio.com) completed we'll have a museum
page with pictures of all that there old radio
type stuff for the young whipper snappers ( I
always wanted to use that term) to see what a
real Man's radio was.
