IDA company makes an AVL system that ties to a Kenwood 840. The link for

The 840 has been obsolete for several years and is not listed in Kenwood
Dealer Tools, but it does look like the KCT-19 will fit the 840 looking at
IDA's documents.
Also, there was a 25 Watt and 35 Watt 840 - Seems like the 25 Watt had a
current rating of 7A and the 35 Watt 13 Amps - also the suffix HK stood for
high power.
So, vol_fire964 looks like you are ready for an adventure - next post gimme
