One of our "radio expert" firefighters reversed the antennas on a 45 to 153
crossband fire repeater. He couldn't figure out why the range suddenly went to
hell. And the weird part was that the high SWR on the highband side kept the
PL tone from coming through. Thank god he move to away shortly after.
