Maxtracs when used in band are rated for full duty with forced air
cooling at 50% output power. Below that for output, they are not rated
or guaranteed stable. I have used them in heavy duty applications, but
prefer something that doesn't need cooling fans as much as a maxtrac. Before you purchase anything else a good way to test the likelyhood of failure is use a dummy load and keep the transmitter on for a couple days, you have taken the first stage of the smoke test and the results will speak for themselves, next is to repeat the test with a spectrum analyzer to monitor for temperature related spurs and then the choice of buying repeater grade components becomes more obvious.robert c ehrhorn wrote:hey gang i found this posted on e bay will this work with 2 maxtracs to make a repeater? http://cgi.ebay.com/item=57001354 73 Yahoo!
