Sounds like a good reason to drive, though with gas about 60 cents a gallon
more expensive than this time last year, I guess this was not a good year
to make the 4,400 mile round trip. With the recent snow in the Denver
area, I'm sure the Pike's Peak road wasn't open to the top again either.
Looks like the weather was pretty much the same as last year, though I
remember it being a bit cool as well. With rain 2 years in a row, maybe
next year will be a dry one?
(trying to come up with good reasons to go next year)
