There are some pretty good toys out there for transmitter locating .
Doppler Systems makes a special version of there famous Doppler, which
has a roof pod and all the pre laid spots for connecting the different
length antennas, a magnetic compass, ands a GPS antenna, there is an
interface box where it all comes together and hooks to a laptop where you
run mapping software, and .....it takes you right there. I have used this
setup a couple of times in the past and i loved it .
The FCC's latest toys are even better.
