On Astron supply- I had similiar problem with start up. You might want to
look at the control circuit board to see if R1(x) a 20 ohm and R3(x) a 10 K ohm
are installed. I had problem when the Automatic OVP Reset Circuit was installed
on an old Astron supply. From Astron notes: The OVPR-12V when installed in a
12 VDC power supply automatically reset the power supply if the over voltage
protection circuit is tripped by lightning or line transients. A phone call
to Astron said to check for installation of R1 and R3 and my circuit board did
not have them. Hope this helps.
