I actually built a "replicant" of the Micor squelch
chip out of a couple of op-amp chips and a lot of
resistors and capacitors. No PIC chip needed. Works
pretty good, I put it in to replace an A/S board that
had been damaged by lightning twice. You can't tell
the difference as far as operation.
